Finding An “In”

The Scene: A group of RPers are talking about and you don’t know them. Do you just butt into their RP, or do you just pass and hope you find another group? Another scene could be that you see a known RPer and you are not sure how to approach them.
At some point, whether you LARP, tabletop or RP in MMORPGs – you’re going to have to find an “in”. An “in” is a way of getting “in” on a conversation or some RP group.

Back in “the day”, me having a good set of lucky dice for role-playing was crucial. Not that the “Dice Fairy” would give me a new D20 if I put my old one under my pillow or anything – but to me it was important.
Like baseball players that swing their “lucky” bat. That kind of self-vindication that I have an edge.

Introduction: What is Gryphonheart Items?
It’s an World of Warcraft Addon that lets users create user-defined objects that can be used in personal role-playing as props and as RP quest items. These can be shared by others using the addon. This makes it very cool to use if you can get enough folks using it, which seems to be the hardest part. This is similar to Ephemeral, which we covered some time ago.
