If you say your a draenei turnip farmer that's 10000 years old, make sure you can back it up, always look for things that are cannon so to speak, its ok to slap the creativity stick to something but always include something that is known so it looks right, Sometimes its just better, Im 500 years old, I farmed terricone trees in terrokar forest before the war for alchemists I exclude turnips mostly cause they are icky and I never saw one in outlands. Out of character, of COURSE be polite. It's a useful skill and should never be abandoned. In character, be true to your character. If you're playing a snotty little bitch, be a snotty little bitch. But be an entertaining snotty little bitch, and they'll keep you around. It helps, if you're IC jerkish, to send OOC tells to let them know you're sorry for your character's rude behavior.
