Walking 101

Yes, it sounds silly to have a post about this, but I had to learn sometime too. *grin* Sometimes you may want your character to walk from point A to point B. Just as in everyday life, there are times you may run or walk. This adds realism to the game world. It also suggests that you may be a role-player, which can help if you do not use Addons that “flag” you as such.

Can’t walk? Easy!

For World of Warcraft, use the following - otherwise consult your game manual or game website:
Toggle Run/Walk (Num Pad) /
For Autorun it’s this: Toggle Autorun: Num Lock
(These hotkeys can be changed in your keybinding options if needed.)

Other MMORPGs may have a similar toggle for running and walking. Check the game manual, keyboard/keybinding options to see if there is a similar toggle.

Practice as needed (yeah, I said practice) until you can switch/toggle well and make your way around. And yes, you can run on a RP Server. *grin* You need no “hall pass”. Just keep in mind where is walking more appropriate to do than running. Good luck!
