The WoW RaceNotes Series are for helping roleplayers learn more about the player races to help create a backstory and roleplay characters in World of Warcraft.
Use these as tools and guides for information. Updates will happen as new information/lore is available to add “life” to your characters.
Introduction: One month ago*, a terrible explosion tore open the skies above northern Kalimdor. At that moment, the great ship Exodar plummeted from the heavens, and crashed upon the world of Azeroth.
Having fled the ravaged world of Outland, the noble draenei used the dimension traveling Exodar to reach safe haven. Inspired by tales of the heroic alliance that stood against the might of the Burning Legion, the draenei have come to enlist aid in retaking their shattered homeland.
Dedicated to preserving life and upholding the tenets of the Holy Light, the draenei hope to gather a new coalition of warriors to battle the Burning Legion and put a halt to its horrific Burning Crusade.
Armed only with courage and their unshakeable faith in the Light, the draenei look forward to finding the alliance and ushering them towards the destiny that awaits beyond the skies of Azeroth.
*Not entirely accurate, but based on the linear timeline/game mechanic

Additional Intro: Driven from their home world of Argus, the honorable Draenei fled the Burning Legion for eons before finding a remote planet to settle on.
They shared the world with the shamanistic Orcs and named it Draenor. In time the Legion corrupted the Orcs, who waged war on nearly exterminated the peaceful Draenei.
A lucky few fled to Azeroth, where they now seek allies in their battle against the Burning Legion.

I think that the life expectancy listed here needs to be much higher. Prophet Velen is over 40,000 years old, and while he may be an exceptionally old Draenei, there’s at least one NPC in Bloodmyst that reminisces aloud about his time on Argus before the Draenei fled there, which was over 20,000 years ago. I wouldn’t say they don’t age, but they live a very long time. Velen is the only one I’ve noticed who shows any obvious signs of advanced age.
You may have a very good point. Without concrete information form Blizzard, it’s really difficult to put a limit. This was mostly a guide for player character Draenei, much like the other Race Notes are for. Velen, being a racial leader and elder is definitely a exception than the rule in regardless to the average ages of Draenei. Also, it is quite possible the Light/Naaru have some bearing on the lifespans of the Draenei. Just an speculation, of course.
It is an attempt to pull from what we know and fill in the blanks on what is less known to help others. If I come across anything more exacting or canon, I will definitely edit the article.

All I can say to this is try to stay within the limits of what you know, if you know what your talking about its more believable. If you say your a draenei turnip farmer that’s 10000 years old, make sure you can back it up, always look for things that are cannon so to speak, its ok to slap the creativity stick to something but always include something that is known so it looks right, Sometimes its just better, Im 500 years old, I farmed terricone trees in terrokar forest before the war for alchemists I exclude turnips mostly cause they are icky and I never saw one in outlands.
